Is my wireless adapter broken?

About every hour my wireless internet will disconnect on my computer and the light on the wireless adapter stops blinking. After I unplug my wireless adapter and plug in back in it will work for about another hour or so. Is this a problem with the wireless adapter or what?

    This could be a problem with the settings on the wireless router that you are connected to. Especially if it's a belkin router. I have one and it will disconnect at random intervals anywhere from an hr to several days. I have never had this problem with any other brand of router.

    This can be caused by a setting in the routers configuration utility,on the LAN portion having to do with "lease time". It could be set to 1hr. If so just set it to like 99 days or something like non expiring time "0" on some routers.

    You will have to consult your routers manual to find out how to access this utility.

    Did you try downloading updates from the manufacturers website?
