McDonalds new drink promotion - prices?

McDonalds has a new promotion around here, and maybe all over the country, where you can get any size soft drink or sweet tea for $1.00. Since they specifically mention sweet tea, I'm going to assume that unsweet tea is excluded and costs the regular price. Does anyone know why?

This is just an assumption that I am going to make, but if you are buying unsweet tea than you are someone that eats pretty healthily. This promotion is just to make people come to McDonalds to buy food, because who goes to a fast food chain just for a soda? You are going to get a burger or something. The people who would buy the unsweetend tea would probably not buy food while they are there, so bam. They have to pay the full price.

I believe "sweet tea" is fountain "Iced tea" and the reason that is included is most likely Coca Cola is giving McD's a break on prices
