If someone came to your house for an argument and kicked your Door in?

Breaking / forcing safety chain !! forcing there way into house and causing or wanting an argument ! and you was a police officer ? what would / could you charge them with ?

criminal damage , or breaking and entering ? or anything else ?

Update:

the police officer I am refering to was one in attendence at the scene of the crime !

    I don't think you could charge them as anything. I think you would have to call the police department and get someone else to charge them with the crime. It would be a major conflict of interest.

    Home invasion, threatening, assault, assault and battery( from skinning my knuckles when I flattened the guy), criminal stupidity ( who breaks into a COPS house, for pete's sake?)

    Any charges would have to be brought posthumously if it were my house..
