InDesign saving. How to save to pdf?

I created a booklet that is 16 pages that is 5.5 wide by 8.5 high (just a regular sheet folded sideways. In my InDesign file I have page 2 lined up next to page 3. That is how I want it to read, but when I send it to print, and fold all of them together, page 2 will be at the beginning and page 3 is going to get lost. What is the best way to save them so the pages are correctly next to each other and ready to be printed and folded correctly? Thank you.

The order needs to be as follows:

    16-1

    2-15

    14-3

    4-13

    12-5

    6-11

    10-7

    8-9

InDesign has a booklet making function under the File menu (InBooklet) that will do this for you automatically or you can place the pages as above manually.

If you have used automatic page numbers you will need to use the booklet making function or convert the pages to pdf or eps first and then place as pictures so you do not lose the correct page sequence.

You can then either print or export the document to pdf as you wish.
