Is it important to read the odd thOmas series by dean koontz in order?

    it's not absolutely necessary because each story is a standalone. but the personal details will confuse you if you read it out of order. a main character dies in one book, and then he moves somewhere in else in another. for example, you're not going to understand why he's at a monestary in the third book if you read it first.

    plus, I think the fourth book is actually tying the odd thomas series in with the christopher snow series. so you might want to read those two books (fear nothing and seize the night) before you read the fourth one.

    Well I've never read that series before, but I think it is important to read any series in order. There is a reason that the series come in the order that they are in. Each book probably has relevant information that leads up to the next. I'd read it in order; I have no idea why you wouldn't unless you don't have the first book yet, but you have another.
