We often eat at buffets for free thanks to our players card's point. Basically, sign up for a players card at each casino offering buffets and ask if you can get a free buffet to start with or, if not, how many points you need to accumulate before you are eligible for a free buffet for 2. Don't worry about asking: people do it all the time. There are other ways, of course, such as obtaining the 5-dollars off buffet vouchers at check-in (which you can do even if you don't stay at that particular hotel - this is mainly with Caesar's Group, former Harrah's group). The MGM group are good at casino marketing, sometimes they just give you a free buffet to please you.
