My husband has stage 4 lung cancer and has radiation therapy and chemo,?
he gets two different chemos and the last one the onc only gave him one said hubby wasn't tolerating it but the cancer was stable and the next day he had a mild heart attack and one stent put in.Now the oncologist has stopped chemo and said he has 6 months to live all because he has a heart condition. My question is if you have other health issues is it normal to just give up on the patient?

The oncologist should have explained to you long ago that his cancer is not curable and treatment is to prolong his life as much as possible. This is not the same however as actually living. When the benefits of treatment no longer outweigh the risks it is time to stop. It is not giving up it is doing what is best for the patient. I am sorry.
