The kind of hypnotism that we see on the TV is completely fake. It's impossible to get someone to do something that they wouldn't do ordinarily - Apparently, there are a lot of people out there that want to act like chickens! However, you could use hypnotism to slightly influence someone if they were already inclined towards whatever it is you wanted them to do.

As for me, personally? No, I wouldn't!

If you're familiar with hypnosis, then you've no doubt heard of Master Hypnotist Steve G. Jones. His book, "Ultimate Conversational Hypnosis" has been voted as the best hypnosis course ever made. The book is also available in electronic format at: http://www.hypnosistocontrol.net/

If you want to get an edge in everyday communication and lead other people towards your goals this is a must read.
