Has a lead-off hitter ever led his team in RBI?

I was watching the Mariners-Tigers game earlier and I heard that Ichiro is currently tied for the team lead in RBI this year. Seems a little strange and I was just wondering if any lead-off man has ever finished the season with the most RBI on his team.

Update:

Alright, when and who? If it has happened too many times to list, then just give a few examples.

The only one I could find was Nomar Garciaparra in 1997 when the led the Red Sox in RBIs with 98.

Ichiro's career high in RBIs in only 69. When did he have 91?

edit: In 2000 Darrin Erstad had 100 RBI's while batting leadoff. However Mo Vaughn (117), Garrett Anderson (117), and Troy Glaus (102) all had more. http://www.baseball-reference.com/teams/ANA/2000.s...

no longer interior the popular era. only Bobby Bragan, a real philosopher, reported putting your superb hitter up first. the reason no one has achieved it fairly is the terror of having that participant hit solo residing house runs and his teammates being no longer able to make up for the shortcoming of rbis interior the midst of the lineup. I reported the variety 2 place on your residing house run risk see you later as you have a solid on-base-proportion guy hitting 3 hundred to lower back up the hot equipment and a couple of greater deep threats and a fellow who's great at hitting to the different field to go runners alongside. thank you for asking. celeb coming

Leadoff hitters must possess certain traits to be successful: they must reach base at a proficient on-base percentage rate and be able to steal bases. Sabermetric analysis has indicated that stolen bases is often an overrated quality of leadoff hitters, however, but the leadoff hitter should still take a large lead at first and draw a throw from the pitcher.

I believe Ichiro Suzuki has led his team in RBI's before.

edit- he hit 91 once and he is on a team with bad hitters

Be good at getting on base. This is the leadoff hitter's most important task. Whether it's hitting for high average, drawing walks or trying to get hit by pitches, do whatever it takes to get on first base.
