What countries, other than America, has tornados as bad?

I never hear about tornados hitting other countries around the world, just America.

If none, why?

Tornadoes have hit every continent, except for Antarctica. The US gets hit more often because the lower 48 has conditions supportive of tornadic formation. Also, a few countries just don't keep as good of records of meteorological events.

Here is a map showing areas of the world where tornadoes are known to have occurred:

Interestingly, while they are weaker, Great Britain experiences a relatively high number of tornadoes per acre.

Bangladesh has tornadoes pretty much every year. They had the deadliest single tornado on record on April 26, 1989, with the loss of 1100~1300 lives.

Canada gets its fair share of tornadoes, particularly in Ontario and the prairie provinces. The region commonly known as "Tornado Alley" also extends there. Northeastern Mexico gets tornadoes, too.

I think they rotate the other way below the equator. They may be called cyclones.
