Silver Royal any good?
I'm looking at a used Silver Royal saddle. (It's in good shape, not old)
I'm not asking about fit or anything on my horse, I know how to size.
Wondering if Silver Royal a good brand?
Solid rawhide tree?
Good leather?
They're asking $500, is that a reasonable price for this brand?

A quick search on ebay confirmed what I thought I knew. I would rate Silver Royal about a D level brand, certainly not A level, but not brand X either. Unless that is a silver decked out show saddle,the seller is asking nearly new price for that used saddle. I would not buy it. personally. You can get nicer used saddles for the same price.

sliver royal is an ok "back up saddle", only. personally, i wouldn't pay more than a few hundred dollars, brand new. pass on this. for the same money, you can find MUCH better!!
