Has anyone here ever visited The Seychelles? Details?

I have been living in the Seychelles for 7 years and I can tell you that the islands are truly beautiful. Seychelles receives a lot of visitors annually most coming from European countries.People come here mostly to relax, for honeymoon, for bird watching, snorkeling, hiking, sailing, game fishing etc....

The main attractions are white sandy beaches, the marine life, rugged mountains, the many deserted coralline islands and the Creole culture.

The best time to visit is between May and September when it is cooler. The month of April is very hot and the months of October to January are mostly rainy. The daytime temperature ranges between 26-32 degrees Celsius.

Seychelles has always been viewed as an expensive destination with accommodation and food being particular expensive. Check online for places to rent. Even though rent is usually expensive, there are some establishment that offer more affordable accommodation.

You can get around by bus or taxi or by renting a car on the main island of Mahe. You will have to take a plane, a boat or a helicopter to get to the other island (Seychelles is made up of 115 islands)

Crime has been on the increase these past 5 years mostly due to the increased use of illegal drugs but the rate is still relatively low compared to other regions of the world. Just make sure you keep an eye on your valuables.
