what continent is greenland part of?

I am asking this because the other day i was looking at a map of the earth and I look around it and see greenland. Now I knew it was there but I realized I had never learned that it was part of North America, or Europe or Asia, the three closest ones. I thought that it might have been part of Antarctica but I knew that that was on the south pole and greenland is on the North pole so it doesnt really make sense so I just wanted to know.

It is a part of North America, though governed by Denmark, often mistaken to be a part of Europe.

Geographically Greenland is considered part of North America.

    Politically, it's governed by Denmark.
