HOW TO CONNECT LOCAL CABLE TO ONKYO 505?
i had a 32 inch lg ld460 lcd, i want to connect my local tv cable to my onkyo 505 reciver then to my lcd.. pls note tht its not the setup box its only cable, i had tried several ways but didnt work.i connect cable to compenent cable/sat then i connect component out to lcd in,but didnt work..then i connect trough cable/sat ,and take output trough monitor out from reciver to av in in lcd, tht also didnt work,in what way i can connect my tv cable to my reciver to my lcd .

You use a coax splitter you split the coax coming out of the cable feed one line goes to the TV and the other goes the the reciever antenna feed for FM sound...this will allow music transmissions to play through the receiver and TV signal to play through the TV you will still need an optical cable going from the TV to the Receiver to get sound for TV programs....Your receiver is not going to convert a coax signal to component or any other type of signal....

connect tv from cable box, use either a optical, or coaxial(orange) cable from cable box to receiver. also when your tried before mention ways, did you have your tv input selected to the video input right.
