Stray male cat in garden, Sydney?
Hi, advice please.
I have found a stray male undesexed cat living in our garden. This is quite strange considering we have 2 pet greyhounds, one of which isn't cat friendly.
We have tried shooing the cat away, I'm worried the dogs might injure him, but he won't go!
I figure he must be pretty desperate to take up residence in a yard with 2 large dogs!
I'm in Sydney, inner west, does anyone know of a rescue group who could take him? At the very least he needs desexing or he is just adding to the cat population problem.
He is a dark grey tortishell with piercing green eyes, a bit fluffy. He is friendly enough. He has obviously been eating the dogs leftover kibble.
Any advice please, I'm not ringing the pound, he would be put down in like 2 days!
Many thanks

Well, I'm from Australia too, erm, well since he's a stray, maybe he wants the food? Did you see through the fluff and all and saw if he was too starved or something when you first saw him? I don't know about that rescue group though,... Well this might be one? I found it on google. Not sure. (You see I live in Queensland) and well this page of the RSPCA might help? o.O It has a map and everything.

I believe this is a list of no-kill shelters in your area. Just make sure they have a strict no-kill policy before handing him over. Hope I was of some help, good luck!
