What is the meaning of the song "I can't love you back" by Easton Corbin?

The girl isn't with him and he can't change that through love. That was intentionally left open so it could be death, she left him, heck could even be someone on vacation.

i was confused the first time i heard this song too. but i got to thinking about it one day, and it hit me. & then after that i seen the music video & i was right.

-in the video, the girl, dies in a car accident. so what he's saying is he can love her in all of these different ways, but he can't love her back to life. so no matter what he does and how much he loves her, it won't change what happened and the way things are now.

I understand the song as meaning if he had a certain girl, he could love her amazingly- but the problem is she's gone and he can't have her. Hope this helps!

His wife or girlfriend has died an he's saying no matter how hard he trys, shes not coming back.
