Why can't I concentrate on studying?

Right now I'm in college, 3rd year electrical training. It's a 10 week course, its pretty intense, but so far I'm doing well, sitting at about 92%.

In class when the teacher is teaching us I can concentrate and I usually understand everything better than the other classmates. But when I have to study at home... I just can't do it.

When it's the weekend and I have some studying to get done, I'll tell myself I'm going to just open my book and study. Usually I can't do it. When I actually get enough will power to open my binder and start reading, I simply cannot concentrate. My mind will wonder off onto something completely different, I'll re-read the same sentence over and over again for 5 mins straight. Eventually I'll just end up doing something else.

Even when I take away all distraction, I'll just sit there, dazing off, thinking about anything else. I can't keep my mind on it. Or like I said, I'll read the same sentence over and over. I just get annoyed. I dunno what to do really.

There may be various reasons for it.In this age mostly students wants to be more responsible and want to handle the duties of family and some of the guys also take life very easily and they want enjoy the life until they die so due to it they can not concentrate on study .Beside this in this age many new hormones are generated due to which minds thinks various things.Above all one sided love also decrease the concentration power .

Same thing happens to me...I slacked my entire life but now I'm 2 years away from my first Public Exam so I decided what the hell lemme study. My advice is just do whatever you did to get 92%, if you studied at home back then and pulled it off, well now, why dont you go to a public library where it's peaceful and you have others for company? You have to work hard in college if you want a good future and you're one yer away from glory so work hard, eat right, and see the result of it.
