Are liberals *seriously* giving Obama the credit for Osama's killing?
I'd be more willing to give him a nod if it wasn't for the constant liberal adoration and litany of praises.

Yes but here is the thing. What did Obama actually do. He gave the order to find Osama and signed the order to execute the mission. Same thing Bush would have done, Obama did, and any future president would have done.
All real credit goes to the intelligence community(one liberals constantly complain about by the way) and the US miltary, specifically SEAL team six, for an outstanding job. It could not have gone more perfect.

To give credit for Osama Bin Laden's death to the sitting president is somewhat appropriate. However the hunt has been going on since 9/11 so i feel the credit should fall on the intelligence community. Without their due diligence the killing would have never taken place.

Bin Laden was killed by US forces under Obama's command. If it had been a conservative, every con on Y!A politics would be offering to buy the 1st round.
Presidents are usually given the blame for the bad like gas prices, and not the good, bin Laden, especially by the opposition party.

It's hard to deny that his policies in Pakistan, which have been highly controversial, made the heroic operation by the CIA and Navy SEALs possible.
His stepped up CIA activity made it possible to track a bin Laden courier to the compound, which they discovered in August. They've been watching it since then, most likely through the use of drones, which Obama ordered into Pakistan in heavily increased numbers and which were probably not in that part of Pakistan at all during the Bush administration. The careful navigation of the difficult political waters in Pakistan is the reason we were able to have SEALs on the ground safely and the reason that after Pakistani fighters discovered the SEALs flying away from the scene (because they had to blow up their own helicopter rather than leave it behind after it suffered mechanical failure), they decided not to shoot them down (even though US air power is far superior to Pakistani air power, their fighter jets could probably take down our helicopters). On top of all of that, Obama personally oversaw the operation in real-time with audio and video in the war room in Washington.
I mean seriously, credit where credit is due dude.

It isn't just liberals who are giving Obama credit, it is the whole world. Including George Bush.
I give Obama credit for refocusing our military on Obama, for removing the emphasis on Iraq, for beefing up our troops in Afghanistan, and for giving the order on Friday for the Navy Seals to enter the compound and kill OBL.

If Osama had been killed under Bush's Administration you know the neo-cons would have been praising him for days as a great anti-terror President. You won't hear anything about that now. The neo-cons would saying Bush was strong against terror but Obama was weak even though 3000 Americans were killed on US soil under Bush, but not a single American has been killed since we elected Obama. Hmmm.

I'm not a lib and I certainly don't like Obama, but I'm giving him the credit due. He authorized the hit. The facts are the facts.

It works both ways.
If there is a terrorist attack on his watch he takes the blame.
Therefore if a terrorist is caught on his watch he should take the credit.
The president does set the agenda of the security aparatus, so he is ultimately responsible for these things.

If it weren't for all of the praise heaped on Bush for killing Saddam, you might have a point.
Key word: 'Might'.
