when special summoned select one zombie monster from ur opps graveyrd and sp. summon it... so when i synchro summon him is that a special summon does this effect com into play when he is synchro summoned?

Synchro Summons are a type of Special Summon, it's in the rulebook.
For the record, Flip Summons aren't Special Summons, nor are Gemini Summons (which are just another form of Normal Summoning).

The only types of summoning that is not a Special Summon are either Tribute Summoning or Normal Summoning (ie: playing a creature with level less than 5 from your hand like normal).
