Being a traditional country music fan I love Texas music, most of the good country music around today is coming from Texan artists, the most popular, influential and highly respected artist has got to be Gene Watson, he is still recording with top artists like Rhonda Vincent, Vince Gill, Trace Adkins etc. and selling out venues across the world.
How many other artists could have the cream of country music on their feet after a performance like this:

George Jones, So many great songs. Any fan of country music could recognize his voice, it is amazing how he could go from such a deep voice to a higher voice like he does.
Could also make a case for Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson because of the Outlaw Movement

I believe that if you were to ask any country artist out there, George Jones would be among their top choice for influences. Bob Wills for dance music, Jones for all around best. from any state.

Willie Nelson. purple Headed Stranger. because of the fact the guy keeps branching out devoid of ever "merchandising out". human beings ought to admire that. MHO, i understand Johnny money is probable gonna be the precise answer, tho. For the ladies, I vote Patsy.
