Need help determining engine size?

I recently acquired a 71' Opel GT and I'm trying to figure out the engine size. Whether it is a 1.1L or a 1.9L. Any tips on how to determine what the engine size is?

I have a Repair/ Restore guide for it, but the guide doesn't help much in the way of determining engine size.

The engine block should have a serial number way at the back of the block on top. Write it down and call a junk yard and they can tell you the size from the number.
