Nuclear Physics. Help Me Solve This Question?
A radioactive material contains two radionuclides, one has a half-life of 1 day and another has a half-life of 8 days. Initially the radioactivity of the shortlived nuclide is 128 times greater than that of the longlived nuclide. When will their activities be equal?

128 happens to be 2^7.
So in 7 half life, in 7 days, the activity of the short lived isotope would have dropped to the initial level of the long lived one. Which would have dropped to half its initial value one day later. Which the short lived one would drop to after that extra day as well.
So, in 8 days.

i ought to supply development of reactor for plutonium. Output mean all capacity that devour in it ( in rays). There U235 emit the neutrons(photons) that devour by U238 to get Pu239. First there is in uncomplicated terms U238. For reaction is going desire U235 that prods while U238 getting its critics mass and serve afterwords as gas. through very organic supplies themperature in this reactors 70 degree (chilly sintez) with 50MW capacity. This capacity count huge variety U238 and Pu that's in basic terms approximately the same mass. in one day that's one hundred gramm for 50MW. i do no longer understand frequence of organic U238 emission to tell quantity of atoms and photons in accordance to Plank's constanta. i could greater valuable culculate the capacity in accordance to formulaes yet to no longer temperature of wapor and output electrical energy. So 100g*14= a million.4kg +0.3kg.=a million.7kg. i will mistake with capacity yet way is sturdy.
