Question about a guy who seems to be either too confident, or possibly too insecure?
there's a guy i do find attractive, and have had a couple of occasions to talk with. he comes off as confident and nice and attractive, until he talks!! he starts off acting like he's compliment people, but then actually puts them down, especially his friends. he acts like he thinks he's so cool, but a lot of things he says is very negative and condescending towards others, but then seems surprised when i react negatively... last time i saw him he was obviously trying to be 'nicer' but it seems forced!
do you think insecure guys need to put others down, even his good friends, or he thinks he's so great (overly confident) and is just an arrogant, immature annoyance?
he is mid 30s so this is not about someone in high school . lol...
i wonder if this is a deal breaker..people have told me that all guys can be insecure, but i think there are plenty of guys out there that do not put other people down to make themselves feel better =T...

I think he likes to put other people down to fell good about himself which isn't a good thing.

i'm going to say it's that he's insecure and a lot of the time insecure guys will be super cocky. that is a sign that he is insecure because he's putting other people down. he probably does it without even realizing what he's doing. he thinks he's making himself look better.
