Chances of World War 3? When and Where?

I think the chances are very slim. It is unlikely that war will ever be fought directly between 2 superpowers ever again because of the mutually assured destruction. If there is ever war between superpowers, it will be an economic war or a series of proxy wars (like the cold war).

As for what the world will be like when it's over, who knows. Depends on the outcome, and the parties involved.

However, the war on terror is a world war if you think about it. It's being fought on every continent, by dozens of nations with dozens more independant terrorist organizations.

sorry guys but i think it is possible. look at how long germany, and japan fought and held off the whole world. even young kids are taught to hate other religions or ideals and they will hate a lifetime and teach their kids to hate. look Throughout history and see how many wars have been fought over religion. i'm not down on religion but that is how i see it. there is a difference between man destroying himself and the second coming of christ. as far as nuclear war. when the weapons fall into the wrong hands the world will be in trouble. some people don't care if they kill there own families or not, as long as the goals are to eliminate the enemy, i sure hope this doesn't happen but one cannot be sure.this is only an opinion, and opinions can change.

World War III could never happen again. WWI and WWII saw mobilization of ENTIRE nations - 10, 20, 30 Million man armies. That just doesn't happen anymore. All the industrial nations possess the capability to whipe out an entire Division with the click of a button so a prolonged battle against two industrial nations isn't going to happen. For example, if we went to war with China all they'd have to do is send a few cruise missiles in the direction of Korea, Germany, and Kuwait and BAM...half of the United States military would be incinerated within a matter of minutes. So no, WWIII is simply not possible in this day in age. Nuclear War maybe, but nothing like World War II where you saw massive tank manuevers, storming beach heads and all that sort of thing. Another Vietnam? Probably, but who knows where. Nobody is going to support going into Iran anytime soon so get that stupid myth out of your head.

its not very less chances for ww3 as of the events happening in recent history.this war would be te last one as there will be no earth any more.

probably america will play the major role and would probably cause it.

as america is fighting for resource under diffrent shelters once iraq then afganistan then libya.

as america hates east it will fight with it .

europe will stay under one roof and be with america .

china will try to stay silent and play a defensive role.

clear boundaries in east and west will fom and the people would get a chance to get their hate out.pece lovers would all die trying.

russia will take east side.
