How to tell a guy that you like him?

My best guy friend shows a lot of signs of liking me. he even told me that at some point he likes a lot of his friends (that are girls). We asked each other questions about who we liked. i described him and he described me. I asked questions to know it it was me. When i asked him a question which would pretty much tell me who the girl is, He just told me "your done asking questions". Thats how i know.

I just want to know how do i tell him that i like him? I really dont want to wait too long and i also dont want to just randomly bring it up in the middle of nowhere. We talk all the time. Is there anyway i can get him to bring up the topic?So should i just tell him upfront and if he doesnt feel the same way then just let it go? (this is the shortened version)
