Taekwondo grading in Korean?

I graded for my red tip a couple of weeks ago and for the first time my grading was totally in Korean. I was wondering if learning korean is common practice among taekwondo practioners.

Absolutely! All of my instructors have used Korean terms in their classes, tests, and contests. What if there was a guest from another country who didn't speak any English. With Korean terms he would able to follow along the class.

Yessir. They'll teach you some commands in Korean as par with tradition and you will learn some Korean words to hold a little conversation with your mentor.

If you learn with Chong Chul then dont try to be Korean with him :p. He tricks you.

Names of techniques and common instructions are normal to learn, but if you are learning the whole language then that is a little outside the norm.
