NRL: Doggies Ben Roberts mid season swap with Nulla's Jon Mannah?

There is a rumour going around that the Doggies are looking at mid season trade with Cronulla swapping five-eighth Ben Roberts for prop Jon Mannah, cancer survivor and brother of Origin Prop Tim Mannah.

WTF is it with the Doggies wrapping up all the quality props? Got Tandy mid season last year who proved to be the goods before the betting scandal, signed his Melbourne front row partner and former Australian school boy Kangaroo Aiden Tolman and just recently signed English juggernaut James Graham. Now they have their sights set on Mannah, who would be a starting front rower at the Sharkies next year with the imminent departure of Snowden and the Luke Douglas heading to the Titans.

Do you think this will happen?

I reckon it's a good trade considering how bad Ben Roberts is. If that does happen then you're a genius. I can imagine that happening though.

Yet another short term fix for injured Albert Kelly. The dogs gain another valuable prop, and losing nothing (as they have Keating and Hodkinson. Even Barba could fill in at 5/8 if they got injured). From Dogs perspective, very smart. Sharks, once again, are throwing away there forwards. I had hopes for them, but after hearing abotu Douglas, what should be Snowden, and now Mannah, it's just going downhill AGAIN for them.

I still wish them luck for a premiership, but it won't be in this generation.

That would be an amazing trade as J Mannah is an exciting prospect and is still far of his full potential and we already have two amazing halves in keating and hodkinson but as Bill said, I'm sure it's nothing more than a rumour.

I think it is only a rumour but it would depend on Cronulla's finances. They have been light on inside backs so it may be something they would look at. I would be surprised if it went through. As you pointed out Douglasx to the Titans and maybe Snowden to the Knights (but he won't get the money originally offered, Bennett has put the knocker on that).
