Outdoor ceremony. Do I have a unity candle? What if it blows out? What else can I use?

My wedding ceremony is outdoors under a gazebo in October. I'm afraid using a unity candle will not work. How can I keep it from blowing out?

What other unity alternatives can I do? I no some ppl use sand. I don't like that idea too much. Any other suggestions?

You can always wait until the reception to do the unity candle and light it inside. I went to a wedding years ago where the bride and groom lit the candle at the head table at the beginning of the reception.

For my wedding, I didn't want sand or the candle so we made up a tasting portion of the ceremony. Our officiant wrote a little bit about different flavors and how it's like marriage- sweet, spicy, sour etc and we fed each other lemons, peppers, berries, etc.

Do the sand ceremony. you will no longer could desire to guard wind putting out a flame. The solidarity candle element has been executed at each and every ceremony i've got attended interior the final 10 years. i've got under no circumstances considered the sand ceremony executed, in simple terms heard approximately it. i'm guessing the sand mixes mutually symbolizing you and he being indistinguishable from one yet another or some thing like that, so the two become one. there must be extra meaning there metaphorically. i like the assumption spiritually extra effective than the candle besides. If it replaced into night, which would be a distinctive tale.

Yes you can put the candle in a windproof container much the same idea as a hurricane lantern but it looks a lot more attractive .

Tying the Celtic knot or unity water mixing. Google both!

Put your candles inside a large glass hurricane that way they won't blow out.
