can i make my own earphones by buying wires and stuff?

Yes, but if you dont know much about ohms and amps, you could use the wrong wires and burb them out. If you have a set of plans or if you know what to use, go for it. They may not have the same quality as store bought ones though and Im sure youll get some strange looks, but I wouldnt worry about the latter, as long as you enjoy them and enjoyed making them. I myself have made handy little wiring projects like this, such as a double male (the part that goes into the hole part of a plug, honestly, its called the male end) speaker jack so I could use a boombox to play CDs in my truck, and also wired my own speakers in my bedroom as a teenager, and wired speakers to play in a headphone jack.
