Where do I go to get a hitch installed on my truck?

I guess question #1 is can you get a hitch for a gooseneck easily installed, or is that something that's a huge process? I laready have the bumper pull, but was looking to get a gooseneck trailer if possible bc I think they're safer. Question #2 is where do I do to get it done?

A gooseneck can be easily installed by someone with the know-how and the proper tools. It's not something I would recommend the average person installing.

Gooseneck hitches are stronger by design. While a bumper pull is not dangerous if done properly, a Goosenck will certainly offer more capacity and possible some extra peace of mind. It's an excellent choice particularly if you're pulling a horse trailer.

A reputable trailer dealer should be able to install a Gooseneck or at least refer you to some place that can. Below you will find a couple of Gooseneck installation videos so that you can better understand how they install.

I would get online and use your location to find a place. There are several places out there that do work like this but the internet will lead you to a place close to you. Also ask for references from the place so you can call and check on there work. If they can't give you at least 5 go on to the next place. Type service wanted and location in the google bar and it will lead you to many choices. good luck and research. This is a competitive market so take time to shop around

A U-Haul dealer is one option. But be careful pulling a trailer if you haven't got experience. They can get you into SERIOUS trouble and I admit to having been there and done that. However, I love trailers and still have one that I finally can drive safely after a lot of on the road experience. The safest trailer setup is one designed for your make year model that a company like U-Haul may provide. Then you have to follow their instructions to the letter. So are you prepared to drive at the minimum speed limit?

you are able to positioned a gooseneck hitch ball in a quick mattress truck, yet you will could desire to be carefull approximately making tight turns with the trailer in tow... you won't have adequate clearance between the back of the cab and the front of the trailer.
