What's A Good, Medium Body Sized Acoustic Guitar?
I have a Fender Gemini II, it's older than me, and I love it. It plays beautifully, and so far it's the best acoustic I've had the chance of using. My one complaint is that the body is massive. It's seems to be more or less made for the Hulk (which is good, because it can take a beating). My right arm tends to damn near fall asleep when I'm playing it, so I want something just a little more comfortable.
So my question is, what's a good acoustic guitar that's body has smaller size (I was thinking the medium size range, I don't feel great playing those tiny ones)? I was looking at Seagulls, LaPatries, and other Fenders, but any specific recommendations would be great. Thanks all :)
Price range I'm hoping for is $300-800

Hi Dave,
In that price range, there are a lot of great choices for mid-size guitars. You'll definitely be able to afford a guitar that is all-solid wood, so it would be a good idea to make that a priority. Here are a few options that you should be very happy with.
Blueridge is a brand to strongly consider. They have a lot in your price range, but I think the BR163 is one of the better choices of theirs (particularly if you like a vintage vibe) - (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001G7H8B0/ref=as... - $746
Guild GAD-30R - (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001R2QB8A/ref=as... - $729 - This is an incredible guitar for the money. All-solid (spruce top, mahogany back and sides). There are a bunch of customer reviews on Musicians Friend about this guitar to get a sense of how good it is (http://backstage.musiciansfriend.com/Guitars/Acous...
Seagull Maritime Folk - (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001RIY6GS/ref=as... - $620 - Solid spruce top, solid mahogany b/s. Very good guitar for the price. Here's a video review of the mini-jumbo which is very similar to this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tOplE_PVrKY)
I'm a big fan of Martin and Taylor, but I don't think this price range is where they excel. The ones I listed above are much better choices for the money, IMO.
Hope that helps. Good luck!
