Braces at 15 :S. , wayyy too late ?

Until my late 18s ,

I feel really behind the game ..haha.

I have a device right now that doesn't allow me to get braces until them ( jaw alignment takes a lot longer than normal orthodontics ) and I didn't see an orthodontist until I was 13. I'd rather just get a dif. Device and get braces with it .

Everybody is getting theirs off this year, I'm suuper jealous . My teeth stick out and have a gap.

Any advice ? I'm having dreams every night about having them ..

    It is never too late.

You are so lucky to even be able to afford the care you are getting for your teeth know. At least in your mind you known and can imagine that in the end you will have nice teeth. Many, many kids who cannot afford it and have really bad teeth are stuck with them looking like that. Can you even imagine looking at yourself in the mirror every day with really bad teeth knowing you cannot do anything about it and there is no date now or in the future where it will be fixed. Those people have nightmares instead of dreams.

So consider yourself lucky just for the opportunity and also know that its not just you getting them late, lots of people do. By the time you go off to college, you will be all set.

My daughter got the clear ceramic ones. They cost the same as the metal ones but they look so much better. She just changed the colors of the bands dependng on the upcoming holidays or the colors of her prom or other formal dresses.

Don't worry!!! I got them in 8th grade, but most people at my school were getting em in 6th. So by the time 8th grade was done most people were getting them off. I'm a sophomore now, I still have them. It doesn't really matter how old you are, if you don't like your teeth then get braces. When you get them off your gonna have an amazing smile. And people really don't care if someone has braces or not since just about everyone gets them nowadays. I'm really jealous when I see everyone getting tuyeres off too, but at the same time it doesn't bother me cause I know that soon my teeth will look like that too.

I had lots of gaps, and my jaw alignment was bad. But now all the gaps are closed and my alignment is awesome. The only thing that looks kinda weird is my two front teeth cause they don't fit together because of my teeth shape, but I'm going to have to see if they can close it somehow with a retainer, cause I'm not paying anything to get rid of it. It doesn't bother me too much.

Haha not to late at all. Your lucky to afford them as the individual said above me. I'm around your age currently and I still have braces. I could of had them off when I was 13 but I get lazy with the rubber bands. Just thats a tip right there. If you ever have to wear those annoying things, don't forget or dont choose to do them. Just do them and get your metal merch off! I've had braces for 6 years. Youll be fine dont worry. =D

It is never too late for braces! I am 40!!! Please get them now, and please listen to your O.D. about your retainer, or you will be wearing braces again. I have 4 kids, 2 needing braces and myself. Ask your parents to by you a waterpick. Best thing... Every month you go to the O.D. you can change the color of your bands (dark blue make your teeth look WHITE). Smile :)
