Why can I only choose from six of the twenty-odd categories to put my question in?

'Browse Categories' seems to be missing most of them, and the suggested categories are usually irrelevant or just askew from what you want.

    sounds like a glitch?

i'd say take a screen cap of what is displayed when you select browse categories and get YA to verify it for you. they are all there when I ask a question.

as for the suggestions, I believe that is based on an algorithm which looks at keywords and identifies them in questions previously asked before identifying the category they were asked in. I decided this must be the case after seeing lots of question about protein synthesis pop up in the vegan/vego food section, where people often ask about protein intakes from vego foods. Plus anything with the word 'meat' in the question ends up there as well... *nice*
