To all that believe the earth is just 6000 years old?
Do you think all geological evidence points to this specific age? In other words is that the conclusion that you believe science should draw even if there was no bible?

I do not know anyone who believes something was not here before creation day, Rob:
You see, the Hebrew word for "without form and void" is TAHU, and it means worthless. Jeremiah uses that same word to describe the uninhabited Earth after the final battle of Armageddon.
But there are scientists, like Robert Gentry who discovered evidence in basement rocks (granite) that show Earth was solidified in a fraction of a second. see http://halos.com/
And God tells us "I make a new Heavens and a new Earth. So that is what we wait for: "The meek shall inherit the Earth."
Did you know the only verses of the Bible that say they can not be understood until the "end of the days" are now discernible.
They prove Jesus is the suffering Messiah predicted in Isaiah 53 while identifying who the Abomination of Desolation is who Jesus warned us of.
Then, Rob, it gives the exact month, day, and year, when Earth is recreated and Eden restored. Read this e-book: http://revelado.org/thetimeoftheend.pdf
Blessings, Messiah

The problem with that number is that it was calculated by a priest trying to nail down a number. These are the same people who screwed up the calendar by up to 5 years!(No 0 year, which is need to go from - to + and didn't count the 4 years that Augustus Caesar ruled as Octavian) The other problem is there wasn't, even back in the day, a firm date for most of the Old Testament stuff. Meaning they could have happened earlier and thus threw the date off. Another thing is how long was the first day? In the Bible it says that a day to the Lord is as a 1000 years. At that ratio Creation would have taken 6000 years by itself plus another 1000 years for God to rest. I believe that a lot of the creation story in Genesis 1 is a way of relating it to people who don't understand large numbers like billions and had no concept of how most things work. I believe that the science we are discovering is the mechanisms God used to create all of this.

Where did you get these figures, The Bible said God made the heavens and earth in six days
A mathematician (quantum algebra) figured out that at light speed it would have taken 144 hours to create heaven and earth. God was creating at light speed for 6 days while on earth billions of years would have gone by. You must remember that the bible was written from God's point of view not yours.
Please disprove the math before you continue but at this time there is no division between the Bible and honest science although that won't stop you from expressing your hate and denial of science so you can continue to hate God and those that have faith in God.

Yes the geological evidence points to 6000 year history of life on this world. The rocks might be much older because earth existed before creation week.

All the geological and astronomical evidence points to a very old earth.

when you go to the grand canyon and see its marvels, from strictly a geological point of view , what most people think took millions of years to create, could have taken just a short amount of time if there had been a huge amount of water gushing through it, I personally think that a 10,000 year old earth is not all that far fetched

Look at the earth spinns slower every day. If the erth were 10 billioasn years old it would have been spinning so fast it would have flied apart repnet roday.

This is too easy: scientific conclusions are wrong unless they confirm the Bible. If there was no Bible, the correct scientific answer to the age of the universe should still be about 6000 years

The Bible does not say the Earth is 6,000 years old.
