Am i dumb for still wanting that "white picket fence"?

Personally I think the white picket fence is overrated. I mean a fence that short can't keep people out, and the picket part could hurt your kids if they fall on it.

The truth is that the majority of the United States does have, or is striving to that. Yes there are a lot of failures, but the sheer number of them should tell you that you are not the only one still hoping for that. Your friends who think such a life is impossible have given up on the chance of familial happiness. That's to their detriment. I would love to have a wife and kids, home in the suburbs, friendly neighbors, big yard, and no fear of being shot outside my home.

No , you should not give up , the secret here is that you have to start to also hangout with other groups of people there allot goodguys out there too , not all guys like "friends with benefits" allot of guys want to have a faithfull girl just start looking for it on the right direction go to different environment and you will be surprise =)
