If you had one hour to live what would you do with it? The correct answer is, exactly what I am doing right now.

  • What is the name of the kind of stationery fasteners used to let papers move?

I am not sure I am explaining it right but I am thinking of a fastener used between two pieces of hard board (cardboard) that lets them move or spin. It is similar to a brass fastener but not with one end being pointy. Imaging a fastener with the head of a brass fastener on both sides. I don't know if that makes sense.

It is a stationery fastener that lets the things it holds together spin freely. It functions similarly to a Lazy Susan in woodworking but on a much smaller scale for papers or cardboard.

Pictures of it would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • How do you convert a picture into a dot matrix?

I want to do something like a photo mosaic where you take a bunch of pictures and put them together to create one larger picture. Except I don't want to use smaller pictures, I'll be using solid colours. So like, a puzzle, there will be x many blue blocks and y many red blocks and when you put them all together you get a picture. I want to know how I can convert a picture into those individualized blocks like the way an old dot matrix printer used to print.

    Any Ideas?

  • Can a planet with two moons have different phases of the moon?

Suppose that a planet had two moons. Just like on earth there are phases of the moon depending on the time of the month. Could there ever be a situation where the phases of two moons be opposed? Like for example one is a full moon and the other is a quarter moon. Envision any kind of scenario where such a thing could be possible.

  • Can I use a 14" electric chainsaw for this?

I want to get a 14" electric chainsaw because I have an overgrown mango tree that I will have to climb and do some trimming before I cut the whole thing down. Hence the chainsaw rather than a trimmer. I know the saw will work for the Mango, but I also have a fallen Sapodilla tree which is a harder wood that I want to cut up to dispose of and I don't know if such a small saw will do the job. Forget about what's best, I know there are better options, I just want to know how much trouble I will be in with the smaller electric saw.

  • In need of a new career path?

I have a BBA in Marketing and I worked in Advertising for a little over a year. I sucked at it. Moved on and became a librarian, working in a school for 5 1/2 years and in a public library for the last 9 months. Now for unexpected reasons I find that I need to look into a new career but I have no idea where to look. I don't want to go back into marketing but my experience in libraries does not bring to mind a lot of career paths. Plus my education has not gone passed the Bachelors. What field should I start looking at to find a new job?

  • Should I get a Smart TV box or a cheap computer?

I live in a region where they do not offer streaming services like Hulu Plus (Netflix is available though and I already pay for that.) So I usually get my TV through... other sites. I know that Set top boxes come with web browsers, but considering the kind of sites I would frequent, is it better to pay more for a computer tower?

  • Are wireless earbud communication devices real?

There are a lot of movies and TV shows today where the characters use wireless earbuds to communicate covertly, sometimes across long distances. I wanted to know if this technology was real.

The show Leverage is the worst offender when it comes to this technology as most of their covert operations would be impossible without them.

  • Need Network help with an HP Printer?

My printer is the HP LJ 400 Pro M451dw

Previously this printer has been working fine through my workplace's wireless network. Then on Monday the Network Administrator changed the wireless protocols for my area, making it unsecured. Since then the printer has not been printing (internet still works). The IT Tech says this can't be because of the change, but for various reasons she has not come up to check out the problem for me. Realistically I don't think she's coming any time soon.

So, my question is, can anyone tell me how to reconnect my printer to the network. Please keep a couple things in mind, I do not have access to the router, either electronically or physically, and the network is unsecured so no password is required. The printer's manual was no help and HP's site was... difficult for me to navigate.

If you can direct me to a page with simple and easy to follow instructions that would be great, as I am not particularly tech savvy.

  • I'm looking for a single word that means "Young Lover"?

In this case I am talking about the relationship between an older male and an underage (teen, not preteen) girl. I know the word Catamite in Latin refers to the young boy lover of a man, but I am looking for a term for a young girl lover.

This is for a story so please don't be offended by the subject of the question.

If there isn't a word for young girl lover then maybe a word for illicit lover? All suggestions are appreciated.

  • I have a practical question about tensile strength, if anyone can help.?

Hypothetically, say I had a length of cord with a tensile strength of 100lbs, and an object weighing 400lbs. If I were to hang the object from the cord the cord would snap under the weight. What I want to ask is whether there is any configuration I could fold the cord into to be able to take the weight. For example, if I were to fold the cord back on itself four times (4 X 100lbs = 400lbs?) would this be enough to hold the weight without snapping? If the physics doesn't work like that, is there any way that this can be accomplished, and if so what is the simplest way?

  • Forensic question about corpses.?

I would like to know how much decomposition occurs 2-3 days after death, especially in terms of odor. Consider the body to be in an Urban environment, like in an office building.

FYI it's for a story I'm writing. If you have a link to a site with DETAILED descriptions of the stages of decomposition I would appreciate it. The few I've found seem to be general guides.

  • Do the lights at Westminster Cathedral stay on all night long?

I saw a lovely picture of the outside of the Cathedral lit up at night and I was wondering if they are on all night long or only during the hours when it is open? Remember I am asking about the Cathedral and not the Abbey.

  • I am looking for a new TV and have narrowed it down to 3?

Forget price and picture. In terms of quality and durability which of these three is best?

    Samsung UN32EH5000F

    LG 32LE5300

    Sony KDL-32EX600

Or to simplify the question, if I were buying a budget TV at 32" which band has the fewest problems, Samsung, LG or Sony?

  • Help with Android Phone Apps and SD card?

I would like to be able to download apps directly to my SD card. I found some instructions online on how to set this up without "Rooting". If you are familiar with the process I would appreciate some help. I got to the part where you are supposed to type the command "adb devices" but my phone does not come up. Why is this and what can I do? I would appreciate if you had a link to a troubleshooting page that already addressed this as well.
