Who will still be a Laker next year?

I think they will try to rebuild around Kobe, but as much as I like and respect him, I think that's the wrong move. Just like they shipped Shaq out when he passed his prime and wasn't able to play "second fiddle", I think they need to at least see what's out there. There's no doubt that Kobe is still one of the best to ever play the game, but you have to look long term and 2 or 3 years from now, Kobe isn't going to be dominating, and if he tries to, he'll just be hurting the development of the young players.

I say everyone is tradable on that team, see what you can get and if Kobe can still fit into the short/mid term plan, great. If not, trade him.

You may recall it was not that long ago he was asking to be traded himself, so it's not like he has undying loyalty to the Lakers. So they have to do what's best for their franchise.

So to answer your question, I say talk to every GM in the league, see what they offer you for Kobe, Gasol, Odom, Bynum, etc and then decide which trade(s) are best for the future.

Kobe is the only garauntee. I think the Lakers need a great defensive point guard and hopefully a good 3 point shooting forward. If they can get those 2 pieces and then hopefully trade Bynum and someone like Shannon brown to Orlando for dwight Howard they will be set for next year

Honestly I'm not a big fan of watching BBall but my friend is a HUGE fan of lakers and is currently devasted because of their lose, to be honest i am as well. I mean WTH is wrong with them!! No offence but this season they're sucking :/
