I am running IE9 and it works great so I could assume that there are other problems with your computer.
As a first step I recommend running this
and then give this a run

Uninstall any toolbars that you have installed and see if that solves your problems.
I hope this helps.

Perhaps try getting all of the Windows updates. If the problem persists then here are the instructions from the Microsoft site to remove IE9 (leaving you with IE8):
The following instructions apply to both Windows 7 and Windows Vista.
1.
Click the Start button , type Programs and Features in the search box, and then click View installed updates in the left pane.
2.
Under Uninstall an update, scroll down to the Microsoft Windows section.
3.
Right-click Windows Internet Explorer 9, click Uninstall, and then, when prompted, click Yes.
4.
Click one of the following:
•
Restart now (to finish the process of uninstalling Internet Explorer 9, and restore the previous version of Internet Explorer).
•
Restart later (to wait until you shut down or restart your computer).
Note
After you uninstall Internet Explorer 9, the previously installed version of Internet Explorer will be available on your computer. It is not necessary to reinstall.

Firstly, have you tried the compatibility button in the address bar?
Many sites that are written for IE8 work fine with compatibility button clicked.
Secondly, you uninstall it from the list of Installed Updates - not installed programs.
Once you have removed it you will have IE8 back again automatically.

domicile windows 7 did no longer go everywhere you propose you decide on IE 8 back. yet sure visit regulate panel, courses and on the left click updates and IE 9 would desire to be there and click it and on suitable click uninstall and it wil be long gone. Now domicile windows 7 will shop asserting you have a replace available for this yet you are able to %. to conceal the replace for IE9 and it will nto ask back yet you are able to consistently unhid the replace in case you opt to place in it later.
