URGENT! PLEASE HELP MY MILKSNAKE!!!?
my son has a milksnake that is about 9 months old that he feeds every week. he forgot to feed him on Saturday, and tried to feed him today (monday) now the snake wont eat, and seems very weak. is there anything i can do to help this snake? we feed him dead fuzzies (small mice) thank you
thanks everyone for your answers! i forgot to mention, we feed him in a seperate, smaller tank (actually an old plastic salad container with holes in it) because we were told that he is less likely to bite us this way. also, he has shed a few layers already, and never acted like this
im worried about how weak he seems to be. when i put him back in the tank, he landed on his back, and took a few seconds before rolling over and slowly slithering away. hes usually very quick. also, he no longer moves when i touch him

ok if he is refusing to eat, it could possibly be because hes still digesting his last mouse, or if his eyes are cloudy, VERY cloudy, then he will not eat, until he is completely shed, with him being 9 months he probably needs to start eating every 2 weeks, cuz the older and longer he gets, his digestive system will take a little bit longer for his stomach to be ready for another fuzzie. at 9 months he wouldnt be that big, after he poops from his last feeding, give him a few days until you feed him again.
if you keep him active alot it will help his digestive system.
if you want the best nutrion for him, feed him fuzzie rats, not mice, rats are higher in protien, and it keeps them satisfied longer.

I've never had a snamke before but all I can say is wait to see if he'll eat in a day or two then take it to the vets... but if your really worried, take the snake now. Hope this helps.
