If you are using ethanol fuel it will absorb a substantial amount of water and not cause a problem as long as the outside temps are above freezing. If the car still runs I say fill it up with gas and go with it. If it will not run you will need to have the whole tank and lines purged and fresh fuel added.

it can mess up fuel lines and cause issues with engine and fuel system buy a siphoning device and get it out or buy stabil it can be used in cars and will help absorb water if it was only a small amount it will get it all if not buy 2 bottles and use both over treatment will not hurt, gas you buy from the stations have some water in the tanks from seepage so a little water wont hurt too much as long as you use a quality gas station and fuel system cleaner it will help keep it running well

Siphon out as much gas out as you can. Put in fresh gas and add a bottle of STP Gas Guard, to help get rid of the water, later remove and replace the fuel filter after driving for a week or so.

Not so much from personal experience, but the same thing happened to my father at a convenience store. But what he did was he got a siphoning tube, he used a different vehicle to go get it, and he siphoned out the water-gas mixture. But my advice to you on this one is not to drive the vehicle anywhere until the problem is fixed.

it will be ok if it wasn't an *** ton, besides some cars are water injected so it can only hurt your fuel pump if anything
