Well, surely you should try and find out wheather he likes you back or not. If you are too shy to go and talk to him you'd better use your body language... You know, look at him adn when he looks back at you don't look away... Smile at him for no proper reason... And stuff like that... If he likes you he'll get the hint and ask you for your feeling or something...

Now, as for the part you instinctively try to be awesome in front of him, it's not good!!! :P Seriously, guys like girls who act normal around them and not perfect girls that act snobbish and like they are the most wonderful human being in the history of man. So, try and get over that... You don't have to un-like him... Just be yourself and act normally... Things are going to get better, trust me... And if he sees you get more relaxed and cool, he'll ask you out or whatever...:D

I am a female. You have to relax. I know it's hard but you have to be yourself. Guys like that. When you try too hard, they know. If you talk to him, maybe you can flirt a little or hint you are interested. Find out what you guys have in common. Maybe after you get to know him, you might realize he's a loser. Sometimes we build people up in our minds and put them on a pedestol. If you don't really talk to him, you can't possibly know if he's starring at you because he's attracted or just thinking. You may be thinking way too much into this. My advice is, get to know him more. That will make him more approachable and easier on you.

personally you can do both! work hard and do well and having a healthy friendship with a guy will be beneficial to your well being and give you a boost in energy!! if you dated and it worked out then thats even better as happinness from that would transgress into a more uplifting and positive attitude!

Hey well im a 16 year old guy, and i feel exactly the same way around the girl i like but yeah i'll tell you now straight up, if a guy likes you, he will like you. You dont have to be perfect around guys you just gotta be yourself, chill, laugh, joke, be yourself. That's the thing that'll get a guy. If you try to be perfect around him he might feel a bit confronted or something. Just be yourself. I'd suggest start taking to him more and more often, message him, inbox him on facebook, invite him to places. Because if a guy likes you that's what he'd want, or that's what i'd want anyway haha.
