Who will the Lakers trade away and who do they want Paul- or - Howard?

I think they need to get DJ Mbenga back.

His absense really hurts their bench

They will most likely trade draft picks and possibly a player for Chris Paul. They need a presence at the point guard spot. Steve Blake is mediocre at best and Derrick Fisher is aging. They are pretty set with big men with Bynum, Odom, and Gasol, and to be honest I don't see Howard leaving Orlando. If they don't get a solid facilitator at PG they won't make playoffs next year. A solid PG can get some chemistry back on that team as well, if he takes the leader role.

They definitely want Howard more but Im sure they would be happy with CP3.

The triangle offense really doesn't need that great of a passing point guard (as you can see Kobe leads the Lakers will assists but overall assists are distributed evenly throughout the team. This is because the offense is set up in a way that doesn't have one guy hold the ball and create plays. Ball movement is key, as is off-the-ball movement. People are constantly passing, and one pass creates a giant shift in the offense, making it hard for defenses to read. Drives and kick outs are often used, but never with one point guard.

However, the triangle offense works really well with a good big guy.

i don't see bynum going any time soon so chris paul.. they would give odom/or artest, fisher, barnes, and a couple pieces.. but i dont think the hornets will except what the lakers will give away..
