Can you alter the charge on an electromagnet?
Say i wanted to use an electromagnet with a switch to change the charge of it. Could I with a switch change the charge of the magnet.
Also where could I find electromagnets and how much would it likely cost

An electromagnet produces a magnetic field proportional to the current circulating through its coil and also proportional to the number of turns of the coil.
If the # of turns is fixed, yo can change the magnetic field by changing the current, which can be achieved by changing the AC (or DC) voltage applied to the coil.
There are many types of electromagnets depending on their application.
Try digikey.com or mouser.com.
I noticed that you are asking a similar question under a different topic.
If you mean by "changing the charge" to change the polarity of the magnetic field, then apply a DC voltage to the coil, and then reverse the polarity (+ to - and - to +) to the coil with a double-pole-double-throw-switch. You may get a big spark across the switch contacts, use capacitors across contacts if needed.
