Acquiring license after DUI charges have been dropped.?

Hi, awhile ago my brother was charged with DUI and his license taken away (CDL A class). But during his two court cases the sheriff that arrested him never showed up and was also fired/quit before the first case. The judge ruled that all charges were going to be dropped and the sheriff brought in under a warrant. I was just wondering, will he be able to get his normal license back? He is on a restrictive license that allows him to drive to work and school, but he can no longer drive a semi truck. With the charges being dropped, how long and what steps does he have to take to get his normal license back?

Thanks for anyone who can help.

    Ask your state DVM

Usually, when someone has been charged with a DUI, his class A is history.

Your brother got off on a technicality. Lucky for him!!
