How many games in Major League history?

I attended a game on Saturday where Justin Verlander threw a no-hitter. It was the 271st in history. My question is how many games have been played in history? What is the total number of regular season and playoff games since mlb began 140 years ago?

    Counting all major leagues starting in 1871, through play of 10-May-2011, there have been 199,260 games played.

    Postseason games, 1903-2010: 1293.
