maybe pregnant horse?
I've had my mare for about 6 months and the owners before me only had her for 3 months, i don't know where she came from before then, but the people i bought her from said they were told she'd had 2 foals. So IF she is pregnant, it'd have to be at least like 9 months along... unless the previous owners bred her and didn't tell me (not completely impossible...)
She's about 12 years old and grade, so I couldn't look up where she came from...
Based off of these pictures, do you think she could be pregnant or just fat and sassy?

(Yes I know I should take her to the vet to make sure, and it's not like I'm not planning on it.)
So no rude answers please! :)
I did have a vet check. But she could have been as little as 2-3 months pregnant and wouldn't have thought of that... She is overall in good health! Vet gave her an A. Well I noticed she'd been gaining weight and I've been working her a little more often, only give her a pound of grain a day (same grain and same amount since I've owned her) and she's been on 2 acres of grass pasture by herself and she's been fine...
we don't have a stable, just a good lean-to for her to get out of the rain.
I'm taking her to college with me though and she'll be stalled :) and worked every day.
haha but ya your right, problem is she needs retrained, will be working with a trainer this summer.

Probably just fat and overweight. If she was 9 months gone she would be far bigger than that! Her belly would be far bigger and her udders might be slightly enlarged simply because she has had a foal or two or because she is fat.
More exercise will help reduce her size, and some time in the stable to reduce the amount of grazing would be good.

No offense but you didn't get the horse checked by the vet before buying her? Bad move. It's a possibility she might be pregnant. But also look at what you have been feeding her. Has she put on the weight gradually or was it put on quickly? Call your vet. It's the only way to be sure.
Look for signs of foal movement while you can. It should be obvious around ten months. But call your vet!

She didn't look pregnant by 9 months along her **** should be full of milk and around 10 and a half month they should be leaking but hers are not big enough so I think she is just fat
