If you are only in the DEP you can get out of it.

You are bot really sworn in until you swear in again at MEPS the day you ship to boot. Get out now why you can.

Then go join the Air Force. Trust me. They live better. They're treated better.

I wish I knew then what I know now.

The Air Force is much better.

MRSjvb is correct. You signed the dotted line but most of all, you swore in. you're in for the long haul now.

My advice. Don't go running to the Air Force Recruiter and tell them what you want to do. They will tell the Marine Recruiter and that'll be bad joo joo. Obviously the Marine wont hurt you but he can make a call to the Recruit Depot about this schmuck that's on the way...... fastest way out of the Corps is to do your time honorably and move on.

Besides, Who knows if you'll be able to get in with them right now? The Air Force is one of the harder branches to get into right now. They are being highly selective do to Total Force Reduction.

Breaking a contract with the military is a very bad way to start your service, for it shows that you are unreliable. Suck it up and be prepared to run three miles to get to the breakfast chow line. When you graduate from Marine boot camp you will be extremely proud of the dress blue uniform you are wearing.

on a matching time because of the fact it form of feels which you will have the means to regulate your concepts, why do you go with for for to? that query is larger important. Serving ones u . s . is a noble component of do. it is going to regulate you in techniques you will probably now not have thought-approximately - adulthood, duty, inter-very own skills shape. you will see factors of the country and the worldwide you're in a position to now not in any different case get to artwork out. you're able to be able to construct in process a school fund whether it extremely is on the instant an unobtainable objective. as appropriate, they pay you an extremely good earnings those days. as quickly as I enlisted, you obtain $seventy 8 a month. because of the fact the room and board grew to develop into into provided, it extremely went an prolonged way (McDonald's grew to develop into into 8 for $a million; a drink on the club grew to develop into into .25 cents). yet yet another enormous replace interior the sought after is the armed centers are packed with grownup men and girls people. it extremely is plenty better like something of society in which you in consumer-friendly words isn't remoted from distinctive intercourse as contained interior the previous.

yes. for one the Marines can keep you in DEP until your Ship date. you could do nothing with the AF intil are released.

2 you have signed a contract and are committed

3 even if you do drop, the AF will not necessarily allow you to sign with them as youhave already shown a lack of commitment by bailing on the Marines
