Why are my back-links not showing on Google?

When I check my back-links on Google, they show up as 0. I know I have back-links...and have checked other companies that do that same thing I do.

They show up when I checked yahoo, just not on Google. And when I Google my website, I see some of the back links, but not all of them.

Am I just not doing the right back-links to make google happy or what?

Please help.

Update:

I have never payed for links and only have done links myself.

Some of the links, like the one on wedding wire are a couple of years old.

    it could be either the backlinks are fairly new or the Google crawlers have deemed them as Blackhat. Make sure you are planting high quality links in valid anchor text for best results.

    Hi there!

    Back links sometimes take a long time to show up. Depending on the page rank of the site you're back-linking from, it could even take a month or two! Also, be wary of the sites you're using for back-linking. Some sites do this as a paid service, however; those sites sometimes get blocked from Google Searches, so they're really giving you a whole lot of nothing.

    Back links can take up to 3 months to show up! Any SEO method does take time but if done right last a long time and boost your traffic over time.
