http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/13052011/58/premier-...

alex ferguson charged because he praised a ref? before people say webb helps united remember this, united wouldnt have needed to win the game chelsea if they hadnt been gifted 2 goals by rather dubious decisions by the officials against spurs ,also webb denied united 2 definite penalties against chelsea .so its fingers up to the fa we are going to win it despite your best efforts

The rules are you do not talk about a ref before a game. Why is that so hard for man utd fans to accept.

Fergie dropped a real boll@ck by putting the praise out it was an attempt at winding chelsea up and it backfired because he put so much media attention on the ref he would have been mad to favour man utd.

Should they change the rules just to suit fergie it is getting obvious now he is doing it to keep in the media he knows the rules and keeps breaking them because he knows a touch line ban makes little or no difference and the club pay his fines for him.

    As your article clearly states

FA regulations make it clear that managers are not allowed to comment on referees before a match, regardless of whether the statements are positive or negative.

"We are getting the best referee, there is no doubt about that" that statement is the truth. It's the only thing said about Webb and his opinion was probably asked on the matter by the REPORTER. What Sir Alex said is something I'm sure everyone already knows. Webb probably is the best ref in the world at the moment especially after the WC Final.

If anything I think the FA should get more strict on what the MEDIA asks. I mean Ferguson's already tried not to talking to any media and almost got into serious trouble for that.

I see SAF appealing the charge and coming out on top as it is on so many levels RIDICULOUS.

  • The FA are losing their marbles, fair enough enough if Fergie criticised the ref but he didn't he praised him .The FA are just a Joke
