many people would say Kobe was never the best at any time, mainly to the fact that he has never shot above 47% from the field in his career, he is a high scoring player but look at how many shots he takes, but I believe he was the best player for 2 years from 2005 to 2007. from then it was clear that it was Lebron, Kobe is not even a top 5 right now, I mean he is turning 33 soon, but he is a top 10 of all time
